馬耳他的位置离catania非常近。乘飞机去的话，大概需要一个小时左右。catania这里有飞机直飞到馬耳他。如果飞机票有点贵的话，可以选择坐船去，大概需要４到５个小时吧。不过，天气不好的话，船有可能会停驶。
馬耳他就在地中海的中心，所以也有人称它为＂地中海的心脏＂。当初，我们在选择旅游景点，就考虑到蛮久，我们的考量是地点要靠近catania，然后要有特色。所以就决定来馬耳他。也有去台湾背包客论坛去参考资料。
[ 馬爾他島（Malta）是地中海的一個小島，位於意大利西西里島南方約93公里處，面積約264平方公裡。馬爾他島現屬於馬爾他共和國所有，也是構成馬爾他共和國國土的主體島嶼，首都瓦萊塔即在本島東部港灣。
馬爾他島地勢西高東低，以低矮的丘陵與台地居多，最高點為Ta'Dmejrek，海拔只有253公尺。氣候為亞熱帶地中海型氣候，夏季炎熱乾燥，冬季溫暖多雨，但島上仍缺乏淡水。

我们乘搭傍晚六时左右的飞机，从Catania直飞Malta。到了Malta机场，出了海关，然后去旅游局问了巴士的详情，拿了一些资料，就赶快去巴士站，因为那是最后一班了。同一时间，也有另一位旅客也跟我们同行，一个单独旅行的日本女孩。最后，到了城市，她选择跟我们住同一家hostel。
当天在飞机上，有发生不愉快的事情，那就是有一个意大利人和一个英国人在鸡同鸭讲的骂架，应该是为了调整座位的问题。

第二天的行程是去Malta最大的外岛～GOZO。从malta的旧城Valletta搭巴士到最靠近gozo的码头,Ċirkewwa，趁渡轮过海去gozo。malta的巴士是malta的一个吸引旅客的资产。非常古董～ ^o^
